I am 27 years old and have lived through a lot of different things. When I was growing up, we were able to walk to and from school without adult supervision. Now you're scared to leave you children outside in your yard for a second. Things are changing daily. I guess that's why I'm a family oriented person. You have to be careful when you who you choose as your friends. With so much violence going on, if you don't have your family to turn to, who will it be? Only God has all the answers. I just live one day at a time now by the grace of God.
As I look at the world today, I feel if they would have left prayer in the schools, things would be different. We have small children killing their peers everyday. That is not a good thing. Humans have detroyed a lot of things. Look at how hot it is. The O-zone layer is almost gone.I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ. All I can do is put it in the hands of the Lord and continue to live my life until he calls me home. As I look at my life, things have changed a lot. While growing up, I was able to say that I had both of my parents to raise me. That is so rare today. As I look at where I am today, where I've been, and where I'm trying to go it's not as much of a surprise, but a blessing.
The 10 things that I'm blessed for are:
I'm still family oriented
I'm single
No Kids
Buying a house
Buying a car
I'm finally back in school
I will always love being around people
I'm very intelligent
I'm a survivor
The Lord answers prayers
The LORD Is My Shepherd
A Psalm of David.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil;my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
(The Holy bible: King James Version, Psalm 23:1-6)
When I go through my rough times, I pray about the prayer above. I put it all in the hands of the Lord. I thank the Lord because things could be worse for me. You have people looking down on you, criticizing everything you do, and trying to make you be someone beneath them, but growing up christian family I've learned "Only God Can Judge Me!"
